Student Internship Opportunity at a Gallery with Stipend

Gallery Intern

Internship paid – daily stipend $40

Rachel Uffner Gallery is looking for a Gallery Intern to start immediately. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining arts administration experience in a faced-paced, hands-on environment. Successful applicants will have an interest in contemporary art, be organized and enthusiastic, and have a desire to learn.

The internship will last for at least 3 months, and requires a 2-3 day per week commitment, including one weekend day if possible. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm. This internship offers a daily stipend, and school credit can be arranged.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with general administrative tasks

Work on research projects

Assist with press mailings

Gallery-related errands

General gallery support

Previous experience is not required, but preference will be given to candidates enrolled in a degree program, seeking a degree in the arts. Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and ArtBase is a plus, but not required. A professional appearance and demeanor along with comfort interacting with gallery visitors is essential.
