INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Summer 2015 Internship Program
The Frick Collection and the Frick Art Reference Library are pleased to offer paid and unpaid summer internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students who possess an interest in pursuing careers in art museums and libraries. Students with strong backgrounds in art history, museum studies, museum education or library science are encouraged to apply, but applicants may only apply to one department per internship season. Eligibility and application instructions may vary from one museum department to another.
Applications for the following departments must be received no later than January 9, 2015.

The Frick Collection: Conservation Department

The Frick Collection: Education Department
The Frick Collection: Registrar Department

Ayesha Bulchandani-Mathrani Internship Program for Undergraduate & Graduate Students

The Frick Collection is pleased to offer paid internship opportunities in the Curatorial and Education Departments through the Ayesha Bulchandani-Mathrani Internship Program for Undergraduate and Graduate Students.
Academic Year Program for Graduate Students
In spring 2015, the Education Department will offer one semester-long internship for graduate students.
Summer Program for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
In summer 2015, the Frick will offer four ten-week internships: two in the Education Department and two in the Curatorial Department. Both Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.

Brian Belott’s practice encompasses drawing, collage, book-making (a selection of which are held by MOMA), performance, video, sound, sculpture, frozen sculpture, painting on glass, the list goes on. He is a clear-sighted collector of sound and image, having amassed a vast library of found sounds and found photos which he organizes, appropriates and redistributes as video works, instagram photos, etc. Evidence of this diverse studio practice can be seen in each facet of his creative output.

Born in 1973, Brian Belott lives and works in New York. Brian received his BFA 1995 from School of Visual Arts, NY. He has exhibited widely here and abroad at venues including The Journal, New York; LOYAL, Malmö, Sweden (with Jesse Greenberg); CANADA, New York; Galerie Zurcher, Paris; Zurcher Studio, New York; Kenny Schacter Contemporary, New York. Other notable exhibitions include: Jeunes créateurs à New York, Musée d’Art moderne de Saint-Etienne, Saint-Etienne (2014), Draw Gym, 247365, Brooklyn, NY (2013), Dadarhea, curated by Jim Drain and Devin Flynn, CANADA, New York (2011); New York Minute: 60 Artists on the New York Scene, curated by Kathy Grayson, MACRO Museum, Rome (2009); Book / Shelf, Museum of Modern Art, New York (2008);Wordless Chorus performance with Larissa Velez, Dark Fair, Swiss Institute (2008).

Brooklyn College MFA Fall Open Studios

The Brooklyn College Department of Art is pleased to announce our Fall 2014 MFA Open Studios. Please join the current MFA candidates for dialogue and insight into their creative processes.
Doors will be open to the public Friday Nov. 14th from 6-10 pm, and Saturday Nov. 15th from 1-6 pm. The MFA studios are located on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors of Boylan Hall.

Rome Art Program continues to go from strength to strength. Entering a seventh year as a not-for-profit educational program we offer a compelling and unique series of exciting, challenging and intensive courses which encourage ambitious young and mid-career artists to return to the street and paint directly from first hand observation.Guided by an internationally acclaimed faculty of artists and art historians,our students become part of the fabric of the city, discovering the real Rome as they live, work and study in the historic streets and gardens of central Rome and Trastevere.
