Open Call for Student Artists

June 20, 2014

Dear Brooklyn College Art Community,

I hope this finds you well and that you are enjoying your summer.

I am very excited to share this opportunity with you. Please find attached the Open Call for a show that I’m curating at the WAH (Williamsburg Art & Historical) Center called “THE NEW ACADEMY: WAH BRIDGES STUDENT ARTISTS.”

As mentioned in the Open Call, the concept for this exhibition is based on Yuko Nii’s (WAH Center Founder & Artistic Director) Bridge Concept, which envisions a multifaceted, multicultural arts center whose mission is to coalesce the diverse artistic community – creating a “bridge” between local, national, international, emerging and established artists working in all disciplines. I am honored to extend that bridge to the Brooklyn College community and ask that you share this opportunity with your students, as I believe this represents a wonderful opportunity for them to gain professional experience exhibiting their work in a unique landmark building.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Many thanks for your thoughtful consideration.

All the best,

Rebecca Cuomo
Assistant to Yuko Nii, Founder & Artistic Director
