Faculty and Students,
GASU would like to invite you to attend our last artist talk of the Spring 2014 season featuring Mark Dorrance next Wednesday 1 pm at the Brooklyn College Library. New York City based artist Mark Dorrance has been a practitioner of abstract painting for the past 40 years. Working within an aesthetic that sublimates representation, his paintings explore the perception of spatial juxtaposition and the possibility of embodiment. “The activity of painting is another way to bend the perception of body-space. It is my belief that contemporary art exists in continuum with the history of image-making, and thus binds us together with the earliest human visual record.”
Join us in welcoming Mark as he shares his work and experience with us!
See you there,
