event for students with The Costume Institute’s new special exhibition

I really wish that I was still a college student just so I could attend this event! Check it out – and the panel discussion includes The Sartorialist, one of my favorite bloggers/fashion photographers.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is holding a college party called "Waist Up/Waist Down: An Evening of Schiaparelli and Prada" on Tuesday, May 15, from 8-11 p.m. We would like to invite any and all college students who would like to attend. The event is free, but is first come, first served. We do request that students e-mail metcollegegroup@metmuseum.org with their RSVP and note if they plan to attend the panel as space is limited.

Please find additional information below for your students. I have also attached the event invitation and we have a Facebook invite here: https://www.facebook.com/events/251351254962857/

Current students are invited to applaud the end of the school year in style at a private party with CGM and viewing of The Costume Institute’s special exhibition Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. The event will include comments from Curator Andrew Bolton, an announcement of the accessory design contest winner, and a design workshop with Parsons Professor, Jonathan KYLE Farmer ma(rca).

We encourage students to dress in their chicest waist up or waist down ensemble. For inspiration, please visit http://www.metmuseum.org/impossibleconversations.
