Fromchuck Lecture on ancient seafaring – this Thursday!

This might be of interest, especially to art historians with a side interest in archaeology and/or the Classical world:

This year’s Fromchuck Lecture (in memory of Arlene Fromchuck, long-time member of the Classics Department) will be given this Thursday by Prof. Kris Trego of Bucknell University, a specialist in underwater archaeology.

Thursday, March 29

1:00-2:15

Bedford Lounge, SUBO

Lecturer: Prof. Kris Trego, Bucknell University

Lecture title: "Life on Board: Ancient Ships and Sailors"

The lecture is meant for a general audience, and Core Curriculum students in particular – it looks to be interesting and informative. I hope you will be able to come, and send some of your students too!

Best wishes,
Craig
