September openings at Dumbo Arts Council

Join DAC September 24-26, 2010 for a weekend of exciting art events during the Dumbo Arts Festival!

Gallery Hours: Thursday – Sunday, 12-6 PM
Directions: F train to York Street, A/C train to High Street, B61 bus to York and Gold Streets

Pigeonhole is a large-scale installation in DAC comprised of thousands of cardboard boxes. It is the most ambitious project to date from artists Reina Kubota and Hang Xu.

A weekend of new contemporary video art screenings and installations. With live projector performances by Wet Gate (San Francisco), Bruce McClure (New York), and Luis Recoder and Sandra Gibson (New York).

Dumbo Arts Center <> is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public registered charity, supported in part, by public funds from The National Endowment for the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and New York State Council on the Arts. This organization receives additional funding from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, The Joan Mitchell Foundation, The Lily Auchincloss Foundation, The Dedalus Foundation, The Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation, and The Cowles Charitable Trust. DAC would also like to gratefully acknowledge the Walentas Family and Two Trees Management Co. LLC for their generous donation of gallery, studio, and office space.

DAC will be participating in the Two Trees sponsored First Thursday gallery walk from 6:30-8:30PM on Thursday, October 7, 2010.
