Welcome to the Blog for Brooklyn College Art Department. This will be the place for Art Department events and Art World events, internship and job postings, announcements, alumni news, and a place to boast about our own!

Remember the Art Department Email? Well, it took hours for me to compile. Sometimes I would get postings too late and miss deadlines for internships or student exhibitions. When I emailed, I would get dozens of bounced back emails crowding my inbox, so this is my new and more efficient effort to keep us all connected. It depends on you, however, to really work – so please contribute often!

Jennifer Ball is an Associate Professor of Art History at Brooklyn College and The Graduate Center of CUNY. While interviewing for her job at Brooklyn College in 2003, Jennifer was asked, “What can you do to improve the lives of students in the Art Department and enhance a feeling of community?” This blog, which used to be a bi-weekly email, was her answer.
