The list of needed interns include:

I want to know if there are any students that will be a great fit. Our clients are in the entertainment industry, so our interns will be going to events and also help in event production.

Clarity Haynes (MFA alum) recent press!

September 12, 2012

Dear friends,

I hope this email finds you well. Last weekend was an exciting time in Brooklyn, with over 1,800 artists opening their studios as part of the Brooklyn Museum’s Go! A Community-Curated Open Studio Project.

There were so many interesting visitors and conversations that weekend, and I was grateful to get a review from a blogger for Two Coats of Paint, a great art blog edited by Sharon Butler. Stef Paschen-May contributed a thoughtful, artful piece on my work (and two other artists in my studio building). You can read the article here.

Thanks for your interest! I hope you are enjoying the day.

Best wishes,

Clarity Haynes

Undergraduate Art History Symposium: CALL FOR PAPERS

September 7, 2012

Dear Art History students,

I hope you are well doing well. For those of you who just started the new semester, I wish you the best of luck this semester.

On behalf of the Art History faculty, I wanted to invite you all to submit a paper for our undergraduate symposium, to take place on Nov. 8. We realize that this seems far off, but we wanted to make sure there was enough time for us to read submissions, assist students with preparing their papers, and give everyone some buffer time to make it less rushed.

If you would like to submit a paper, here is what we would like from you:
We are asking for only 1 submission per student, to be submitted by no later than Sep. 14. Please send me your paper to lgkilroy.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you, and we are looking forward to receiving your submissions!

Also, attached, please see the final lineup for our panel, “What Can I do with an Art History Degree?,” on October 18. Anyone is welcome to come. We hope to see you there.

Warmly,

Professor Kilroy

The Art Department has a new webpage!

September 5, 2012

Thanks to Professor Lauren Kilroy, the Art Department has an updated webpage… it was so out of date that it referred to deceased people (that’s not a joke).  So here it is AND it has helpful info and forms and dates and whatnot: depthome.brooklyn.cuny.edu/art

Think of checking the website first before hauling yourself in to see an advisor as many questions are answered on line.
