Undergrad study abroad fellowships

Good Afternoon,

The scholarship Office is looking for high achieving students to apply for the Boren or Gilman Study Abroad Scholarships.

Gilman Scholarship
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means (You must be receiving a Pell grant in order to be eligible) to pursue academic studies abroad. Such international study is intended to better prepare U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world.

If you are interested in applying and would like to schedule a meeting to discuss your eligibility, please read the program website (paying particular attention to the Selection Criteria page http://www.iie.org/Programs/Gilman-Scholarship-Program/About-the-Program), and respond to this email with your most up-to-date resume.

Boren Scholarship
Boren Scholarships provide up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded.

Boren Scholars represent a variety of academic backgrounds, but all are interested in studying less commonly taught languages, including but not limited to Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Swahili.
If you are interested in applying and would like to schedule a meeting to discuss your eligibility, please read the program website (paying particular attention to the Applicant Resources page http://www.borenawards.org/applicant_resources.html), and respond to this email with your most up-to-date resume.
